I drove to Spartanburg to see friends today, and to go to a show with them. Getting there was a blast and a fun roadtrip with another of my friends.
Upon arriving, I found out that other friends of these friends would be coming from Columbia, friends that I wasn't always so fond of. When they arrived however, I found myself saying that first impressions of people are too often incorrect. These friends of friends I can now say I consider my friends, and that they are actually really cool, nice people, despite what I originally thought.
I have noticed myself lately, and where my spirituality has been stemming from, and going towards. I've come alot from my own beliefs and from what I've read biblically, but I've found myself more and more listening to friends and companions about what to believe, in my spirituality. If a fellow believer personally believes something is ok as a Christian, then I tend to believe it as well, without ever referencing scripture or praying about it. Looking back at that, I can't believe I was so lazy and foolish. I know now how dumb it was not to look for God on advice on what would be following His rules correctly. Funny how things can look in retrospect.
