I made 100 flyers for the event, and came close, in two day's time, to having to reprint more. I barely had to tell people about this event, so many flyers have been picked up, at this point.
I spent a good amount of time talking to a co-worker of mine tonight, one that I feel I have a very large amount in common with. We spent time talking about CIU, which he attended, and about many things in general, from music to experiences we've had.
It's an encouraging thing for me, in my still-new job, to be gaining a deeper relationship than the typical "friends-at-work" scenario I would sometimes have at my old job.
The more I think about next year at school, the more my pure excitement grows. The idea that I will be in an enviroment of all believers, that I will not have to ever give second thought to bringing God into a conversation, brings me such joy. I've done public school my entire life, and this idea of a community of Christianity is something I look foward to intensely. The thought of getting to talk more with friends I have made from working at the coffeehouse is also a pleasing thought, along with making new friends, and getting to finally talk to friends I've known from other ventures, is leading to pure excitement.
I now have no doubt that God has been preparing me for this for quite a while.
