So let's dissect the do's and don'ts of modern Christianity:

You will get into Heaven for:

You will not get into Heaven if:
You accept that homosexuals, atheists, and followers of other religions are people too.
You have ever gotten or considered getting a piercing or tattoo.
Your music ever contains a scream or loud guitar, or more forbidden, rapping.
You have ever made a mistake.
You hate the sin instead of the sinner.
You voted for Kerry last election, or anyone but a republican.
You don't make people think Christ lived to judge.
You work harder on loving than scaring.

This is called being facetious. I realized today thinking about it, how utterly judgemental some modern day Christians are, despite what they're supposed to represent. I mean, at some points, none of us are exactly great examples, but it does hurt to watch how some people can take words of love and turn them into words of discrimination and hate.

On another note, I ran into my familiar problem tonight at work of beginning to get very frustrated at the job and some of the people. At some point tonight however, God woke me up. I think He basically asked me what good getting frustrated was doing me or other people, and He calmed me down. For the rest of the night, it was more stressful than I ever remember, but for some reason, I couldn't get the happy out of my system, and a good song was always playing in my head. A crisis is always an opportunity in God.

Why do we hurry? Is getting the same place faster that much better than noticing the way we get there? Does it hurt us to take our time to notice where God's taking us, and just as importantly, how?
