I know that God works just when you dread the day you're about to face. I know He shows up exactly when you think something is about to be horrible and you think you cannot face it. He shows His face and His presence and things are suddenly bearable and even enjoyable.

I say this because as a normal human being, I was ready to be aggrivated and upset about working Thanksgiving Day. I prayed about it though, and the most amazing things happened. The time never got especially boring or dull, everyone was in an excellent mood, and we were actually able to close when we were supposed to and were able to leave ten minutes later, as opposed to the usual thirty to forty five minutes later for most Thanksgivings. These things all sound like they could be chance or luck, but I have no doubt in my mind that God was helping us along and getting us back to our families last night.

I also saw God many times last night. I feel the presence of God whenever I know that I'm comfortable enough to fall asleep in a group of people I know and love. The friends I have show me the face of God constantly and He shows me them and their support just as much.

in relation to the question on society:

Why is the repetition of sins so tempting to us? If we know the consequences and have seen the results, why would we ever CHOOSE to repeat the mistake?
