The Death Penalty is an extreme form of punishment, and should be abolished. Yes, people commit horrible crimes, and deserve severe punishment, but two wrongs don't make a right. "why do we kill people, that kill people, to show killing is wrong?" .. exactly.

Life News
I am pro life. I feel when in doubt, life should be given a chance. Especially in cases like Terri Schiavo. However, i hope everyone i know has an advance life directive in case something should ever happen to them. That way, their wishes will be immediately known and carried out. Everyone that reaches legal age should have a directive, it's not just for "old" people.

Friends of the Smokies
My favorite place in the entire world is on the top ten list of endangered national parks. I donate quite a bit of time and money helping their cause. So i am definately a friend of the smokies.

Save our Hemlocks
I'm fascinated by nature. In fact, i'm intoxicated by it. Many of you are familiar with Hemlock trees and you may not even be aware of it. Hemlock trees are being infected by Adelgids (tiny insects). Adelgids lack natural enemies in North America, so it has since spread throughout the eastern United States (specifially the South Appalachians) creating an extreme amount of damage to natural stands of hemlock.

Feed the Children
Imagine the sound of crying and hungry children, from all over the world, broadcast over a loud speaker or radio station. What a horrible sound that would be! Help a child that can't help themselves.
