Ah, the day I've always been waiting for! A stepping stone, however, I must say. Paid, in a small way, so satisfying as a sale, but the printed mag is going to be the first major success. Future Fire opened the door, and if I ever rise to some greatness, well I'll remember them for being the first to trust in my pen!

Candle Wax final draft is *definitely* done, and now being read by third party. The plot is a tad complex; or perhaps the better word is obscure. But it's meant to be obscure - just not too much. Gotta pinch the ingredients until they're just right.

Clepsydra first draft is finished as well, and it's a rather interesting piece. I'm sure I'll be even more excited of it when I hack the rough shape into something even prettier (it's always like that).

Plans are already out for the next, "The Scales of Disero". Those who read Castalsara might (underline might, cause I think I'm the only one who will ever know) notice the wordplay. Either way, it tells the story of Disero, a trader who sells futures on laws. Make no sense? Hopefully the story will be a bit clearer (and longer).

I've also got my untitled matriosca story about the fictitious Battle of Something. A neat piece of work I wrote at the airport in Luton, which came back to mind after I read a wonderfully charming story called "Titanium Mike Saves the Day" in F&SF.

So on to hacking hacking hacking. My faith is in Escapism - ah yes, forgot to mention that it came back with insufficient postage, bloody english mail!! - and with One of a Kind. Candle Wax will go to Ideomancer, and Clepsydra to I don't know who yet.

We'll see, there's good prose hanging around, and hopefully some good fellow will pick it up and sprinkle it on some paper!
