Too long (time). Too little (work). I have excuses, as a matter of fact I've got lots of them, but I'm not completely innocent. I have an  exam tomorrow, one which I had forgotten about, and so had to cram a lot of time into the past two weeks. Very little real work (and when I say read work, I always mean non-academic, fictional writing) has been done. The bright side is that I have a slew of new ideas for Prism and a few short stories. Philosophy is, after all, one of the backbones of my stories.

After tomorrow's exam I'm back to Italy to get myself checked up; my stomach pains have not gotten all that much better recently, and that is another cause for reduced work. And yes, so is Warcraft. But I need something to give me a break, so I don't feel all that bad. Or maybe I do.

Nevertheless, good order should resume tomorrow at noon. The plan is to squeeze out a short story over the next week or less, basically while I'm away, and so just gear up again for Prism when I get back. I'll be in revision period, so I doubt I'll keep a stable flow, but then again this is the eye of the storm as far as my studies are concerned. After that it's seven (yes I said seven) months off dedicated exclusively to Prism and all it's smaller brothers.

The ideas for my next major piece of work have been sprouting and fermenting, and coalescing into something which I think could be really good. I'm curious to explore myth and legend, to re-create my own, and to really make use of the polytheistic system of Ancient Greece, whose gods I think are just brilliant. A divine soap opera, I would call it. I'm still not sure whether to add my own myth to Greek mythology, following their rules and conventions with my own twists, or to pull off a "Carey" as it were and create my own world with a reflection of the Ancient Greek pantheon's behavior. We'll see. Meanwhile there's Prism to finish and edit, and make into something special.

I'll do my best to avoid laziness and keep off Warcraft!
