This is the new Greddy G2 exhaust, It is typical Greddy quality, stainless muffler with robotic tig welds and absolutley perfect fit for the car. They do not yet have a system developed for the 02+ models but from what I hear they are working on it. The sound is very nice, a low grumble when at idle and a nice growl when accelerating hard, at about 3200rpm the system quiets down though to a low hum, so that you can drive at highway speed without having the exhaust buzzing in your ear for hours on end. I originially bought the system because I heard the Greddy system on my buddies 95' Eclipse and I must say I am very impressed with the sound. I think it really does sound better than a Techtonics, and I have heard several of them on different GTI's.
This is the install picture of the AEM Cold Air Intake I also put on the car. Living in Florida I was concerned about water being sucked up into the system, because the kit for the GTI does not allow for placement of a diverter valve. When it was fitted on the car the filter sat about 3" below the intake in the bumper, so for both water and air reasons I cut 3" off the end of the AEM pipe and it now sits centered over the intake in the bumper and well out of the wat of water during normal driving. I still watch for large puddles though, but to submerge the filter enough to suck up water I would have to completley submerge the bumper up to the top of the black trim piece.
Notice that I took the factory intake cover and cut the back out of it to match the passenger side cover, very simple to do with a hot knife or sharp razor blade. I only use this cover when it is dry or light rain, I have another blocked off factory cover in the car for when I drive in heavy rain.Changing them takes about 10 seconds, they just snap in and out The factory cover is about $15.00 at any VW dealership. On a recent 5 hour drive this past winter with a constant temperature of about 65 degrees, the intake pipe was drawing in such cold air that ice formed on the surface of the intake piping in the engine bay. So the system definitley works like it is suppose to.
Notice the strobe head in the factory headlight! I inherited a SHO-ME 4 bulbs strobe kit from a buddies former police car and put one strobe head in each headlight and one in each euro foglight space in the taillights. The flash pattern controls are mounted in the drivers seat, while sitting I can switch between 8 different flash patterns and turn the system on and off.
I have XM radio and mounting the antenna on the rear hatch was not an option, so I decided to mount in with the factory antenna. Fairly simple operation,  I groved the factory antenna to accept the XM wire and bolted the factory antenna back on. The Delphi antenna is perfect size as you can see.

Also I was able to fit a cd-changer and XM tuner box in the factory equipment space, with a little modification of the factory bracket and relocating of the factory amp to a lower position on its bracket. It is nice to have it out of the way and hidden, and protected.
