Inverness
June 16, 2000
We left Drumnadrochit and drove up the Great Glen, along the Western side of Loch Ness to Inverness. We stopped briefly at Inverness Castle, a 19th Century building that sits above the River Ness. From the castle, you get a good view of the city.

The castle is now the Sheriff Court, so after watching some guys who looked vaguely like the characters in the movie Trainspotting explain to some Japanese tourists that castle was a jail, we headed off to Culloden Battlefield.
