of auckland). \i dont really know much, but have read legends that concern the tribes. i 
grew up at muriwai, and am very keen to know more about the people that lived there before 
me.

My great grandfather's name was Tamati Tu
He married Te Aoerere Ngatai

They had ? children, however their son (my grandfather) was Kahotea Tamati and he 
married Tukua Ngatai.

Their children were Enoka Tamati, Taiaho Kahotea Tamati (my father) and Pokai Waiari, 
a half brother.

We originate from Matapihi in Tauranga.

I'm looking for my father's real mother. He was born around 1938 and had a sister 
by the name of Phyllis. His mother died when he was young and he was sent to live 
with his natural father who was Fong Chung. Phyllis was adopted out and I believe 
she was raised in or near Whakatane. I think the name of their mother may have been 
Margaret? She was apparently pushed from a moving vehicle and died as a result of 
injuries to her head. Martin may have been her maiden name. If there is anyone out 
there with any information about her could you please, please, pleeeeeeeeaaaaaaaase

navy deep sea diver Henry Otto Paul KIrt Schultze, perhaps in Auckland. She came

i read your posting and thought well! All i know is that the original book 
is in the Gisborne Library, you can have copies taken from thier photocopies 
but not the actual book. With these photo-copies you get the info aint
 very clear at all.

My fathers whanau are the Koroheke whanau from tainui and maniapoto regions.
 My brother was adopted into my aunties whanau and they go by the name tahana. 
They live at 44 Turners Drive. Their nanny is Nanny Ata Koroheke she is about 
in her eighties and lives down the coast at waihau bay where her homestead is. 
They are a happy whanau I know for a fact.
