WESTPORT - Residents from 1873-1973 ----------------------------------- This list of 496 names has been extracted from the publication "Westport - Struggles for Survival" - an illustrated history by Bruce MacDonald published 1973. No attempt has been make to transcribe the names of politicians and other very well known personages and no attempt has been made to eliminate duplicate entries. The reader is left to decide whether or not identical ( or near identical entries) refer to one and the same person. There are several instances in the list where a surname has been spelled in two differing ways. These have been double checked and reflect truly the spelling as written in the book.
