WMATA Metrorail Gallery
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transportation Authority (WMATA), or Metro, has a 101-mile subway system, called Metrorail, that serves the District of Columbia, Montgomery and Prince George's Counties in Maryland, and Fairfax and Arlington Counties in Virginia.  There are five lines in the system (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, and Blue) that run only from 5:30am to Midnight on weekdays, even shorter times in weekends.  Their fleet looks very uniform, despite the three, and soon to be four manufacturers of the cars.
