The Wyandanch JROTC Color Guard is formed from some of the most exceptional cadets. The principal responsibility of the color guard is to present the colors at various activities.  The Wyandanch JROTC Color Guard represents the Corps of Cadets and Wyandanch Memorial High School at many formations, assembiles, graduations, reviews, parades, home athletic events, other civic activities, and events throughout the school year. The Wyandanch JROTC Color Guard have performed at many places ranging from Giants football games, Knicks Basketball games, to New York National Parades.

The Color Guard consists of three (usually two) color bearers that carry the national, state, and unit flag. The Color Guard is comprised of highly motivated cadets, who have demonstrated a high degree of bearing and skill. These cadets wear a white shoulder cord on their class A or B uniform to represent their membership and pride.
