STUDENT ELECTIONS ON THURSDAY

This week’s Student Union elections give you the chance to improve Westminster University.

You can vote for students to fill the positions of President, Publications Officer, General Secretary and Welfare Officer at the elections on Thursday 14 March.

Ballot boxes will be located in A block, opposite the canteen, at Harrow campus between 10am and 6pm. Voting will also be taking place at all Westminster University campuses across London.

If you want to find out what each candidate has to offer, you can go to the official hustings on Tuesday 12 March at 2pm in Fyvie Hall, Regents Campus.

We have given you a brief run down of who the candidates are and what they have to offer.

Candidates for President
Inderpal Lotay promises to bring in guest speakers for arts events.
Nurjahan Khan aims ensure that sabbaticals fulfil their objectives.
Dean Nasser hopes to introduce ‘Student Empathy’ and textbook recycling.
Danish Khan would like to make an astro-turf playing field.

Candidates for Publications Officer
Daniel Llwelyn-Hall promises to take The Smoke online.
Tim Roderick wants to bring more photography and graphic design to The Smoke.

Candidates for General Secretary
Shadat Rathore promises to reduce car park costs.
Charlotte Fraser would like to see recycling bins on campus.
T.J. Edwards wants students to work together as one big family.

Candidate for Welfare & Education
Rhiannon Harris wants to scrap the £75 levy and raise awareness of phone helplines.
