In World Cup 2002, you'll be able to select one of many international clubs and work your way to the 2002 World Cup. You'll have to play games, manage your club, deal with injuries, fatigue from the grueling schedule and keep up to date on the status of your own team, opponents and players involved in the cup with the use of informational hot-sheets that will be provided throughout the qualification rounds.

Even at this stage the game looks better than it ever has before. Great attention to detail has been taken with the player models to add more player accessories, distinctive faces, hairstyles and other general appearance tweaks. Aurally, the game will include localized commentators and what is being described as "differentiation between home and away SF/X", meaning your hooligans won't go (more) crazy when the opposing team scores a goal.
