Alex Weatherhill has finally hit the big time by landing the role of 'Mary
Sunshine' in the West End production of Chicago.
From the end of February
2005 he has been strutting his stuff as the tabloid columnist. This role
is traditionally played by a man and requires him to hit some pretty high
notes. Of course anyone who knows Alex or has seen him perform (especially
in his role in La Cage Aux Folles) will know that Alex has an amazing
voice and will have no problem hitting those notes.
Alex reached the semi-finals
of TV's Musicality before landing a part in a professional production
in Scarborough and had to leave. It has been an uphill struggle to get
where he is today, but lets hope this is the start of a glittering career
for Alex.
