Sweeney Todd
Sweeney Todd was written by Steven Sondheim and appropriately it was the 75th anniversary of his birth this year.
This show was performed at the Malvern Festival Theatre, Worcs, from Tuesday 18th to Saturday 22nd October 2005, and was our 50th show at Malvern!

The show tells the story of 'Benjamin Barker', now known as Sweeney Todd, who returns home from Botany Bay to find his wife gone and daughter 'adopted'. Taking his sorrows out on the world, he slits the throats of the customers in his Barber shop and sends their bodies down to the pie shop below, where Mrs Lovett makes them into the 'best pies in town'.
