Pilot crash helmet

This helmet is pictured in the reference 'Imperial German Uniforms and Field Equipment' by Johan Somers and published by Schiffer. The helmet is overall in very good condition. The green paint was re-done as the helmet was painted white after the First World War when issued to flighing training schools. The liner is in perfect condition, nice natural brown leather, dated 1918 and marked for Flg... for 'flieger'. A rare helmet and a nice addition for any collection.
