How Many Races can Steve Carlson Win?

How Many Races Can Steve Carlson Win???

Steve Carlson could possibly be considered the modern day Dick Trickle. He hasn't won as many races and him.  But he runs a ton of races, and wins many of them.  He races on the NASCAR Re/Max Challenge series, and also races late models at tracks around the upper mid-west.  The purpose of this page is to track Steve Carlson's success throughout the 2000 racing season.  I will try to make every attempt to document ever win that he records throughout the year.  I am primarily getting my information from the internet and The Checkered Flag Racing News.  I'm sure there will be a race or two that he wins this year that I will miss.  So I am making no claim that this is the official figures for his season.  I predict will make my prediction that he will win 35 races this season.  If you would like to make your prediction E-mail   me and I will keep track.  And if you are the winner I'll stick your name on here.  I suppose you could say its a contest.

2001 Update

I again this year will be following the success of Steve Carlson.  Although he didn't win as many races last year (16) as I had anticipated, he did win the Re/Max Series Championship.  But looking back 35 wins was probably a little generous, so this year I will make my prediction at 18 wins.

2002 Update

Well Last year Steve won 13 races, which was 5 short of my predicted 18 wins.  This year I am going to predict that Steve will win 11 races.

2003 Update

Well last year wasn't quite as productive win wise for Steve. He only got 6 wins in the Re/Max series.  While 4 wins may seem like a lot, it is not up to the mark that he has set the past two years,  Though Steve's wins were down last year he did bring home the NASCAR Re/Max Challenge Series Championship.  This was his 8th series championship and also breaks Dick Trickle's record of 7 championships. If Steve can bring home 9 wins in that series this year he will tie Dick's wins record of 69.  Steve currently sits at 59 wins.   Also last year Steve made a number of ASA starts in which he brought home one win.  It should also be noted that the ASA races he ran were on off weekends for the Re/Max series.  This took him away from the local tracks like Lacrosse and Hawkeye Downs that he has run on off weekends in the past and has had much success.  I believe this is partly the reason that his total wins was down from years past.  This year my prediction is that Steve will have 9 wins.

Nichole Voigt predicts 9 wins for Steve Carlson.

  2004 Update

I didn't get a chance to make a prediction before the beginning of the season.  I also didn't do a very good job this year of keeping track of his wins, so I think that I have left some out.

2005 Update

Steve seems to have not been running as many races outside the NASCAR series in the past few years.  That seems to have reduced his wins per year.  But however I think that he will have a good year in the Midwest series and win his 8th championship.  I am predicting 6 wins this year for Steve.
