I currently own 19 cornsnakes. Cornsnakes make a great snake for a beginner or expert! They come in so many color varieties that you will want to collect them all! They are very handleable and stay a reasonable size, around 3-4 feet with 5-6 at the extreme. Corns are the very definition of a domesticated snake.
I think I need to see a Doctor because I have Cornsnake FEVER!

RIP Ramses

Deceased:
He was my very first snake. Thank you for showing me the beauty of snakes.

  • Name: Lance
  • Species: Corn Snake
  • Scientific: Elaphe guttata guttata
  • Type: Blizzard
  • Gender: Male
  • Hatch Date: '99
  • Obtained: 6/14/01
  • Weight: 476gms (7-15-01)

Lance was my second cornsnake. I bought him from a woman over the internet. I really like blizzard corns and Lance is a nice big guy, however he is not perfectly white (like most blizzards). There is a faint yellow pattern if you look closely. Lance was bigger than Ram when I got him, but now Ramses has passed him up quite a bit. I am planning to breed them together this spring hopefully. I want to work with blizzards and butter corns.

Fywin is a nice little snake. As a hatchling, she was the smallest corn I've had yet! So delicate and beautiful! When I first fed her I couldn't believe she actually got it all in. Fywin is just now developing more white and to my dismay, also a faint yellow pattern like Lance. Oh well, I still like her. Anyway, in a couple years she will be bred to Lance (when she is big enough). I have a feeling she will be a fast grower however!

This was one of my major "wants" for the year 2002. I finally got a beautiful hatchling Miami from Mike Panichi. This snake is exactly what I wanted in a Miami. He should turn out a beauty! (not that he isn't right now ;).

I was looking for a reverse okeetee corn when I contacted Mike Panichi and found out that he had been selectively breeding a neat line of them. They have a lot of peach coloration and very bold colors. I just had to have one. Truly stunning snake.

This was a morph I was planning to get. This particular guy is pretty small, but a good eater. If I would have known that Serpenco's table wouldn't have been so busy I would have looked around some more before buying an Amber because tons of breeders had them :P. I have too many male corns!! This was the only Amber Rich Z. had.

I've been wanting one of these for a while. I've seen so many beautiful pictures of them. I wonder how mine will turn out. This snake is from Kathy Love. I should have looked for a female instead of taking a male (Doh! so much for planning...)

I purchased Izzy at the reptile show. She was someones pet and was a first time breeder for me (not to mention my 1st time too). After several attempts she finally mated wil my blizzard corn (Lance) and on 6-21-03 she layed 10 eggs, of which 3 were fertile. On 8-13-03 two normal baby corns hatched to my delight :).

This baby is one of the two corn snakes produced from my first breeding attempt. The parents are Izzy and Lance. This snake has a cool trident head pattern. I have given away its clutchmate and already have someone who wants this one.
