Home Red-Eyed Treefrogs Tomato Frogs Caresheets Reptiles |
Agalychnis callidryas is certainly one of the most beautiful species of treefrogs. They are very common in the pet trade but can be somewhat pricey. Like all frogs, they require very clean water and the right environment. I plan to put more care information up soon. I have 2 Red-Eyed Treefrogs. I got them in the summer of 2001. I'm not sure of the sexes yet, however, it is either 2 males or a male and a female. They are not extremely exciting to watch, since they are nocturnal, but they are still cool animals. Mine live in a 20 gallon tall planted tank. They really like crickets, but I can't seem to get them to eat mealworms. They seemed to like the maggots I gave them. I feed them in a bowl so I can monitor their food intake.
Here is a pic of the frogs old vivarium.
Here they are in a temporary home.
