In April 2002 I aquired 2 tomato frogs (Dyscophus guineti). I have been interested in these frogs for a good while, but I disliked the fact that all of the ones I've seen were wild-caught. It is possible to get captive bred from people on the internet. However, I guess I gave in when I saw these two. So far I'm really impressed with them. They live in a nice 20 gallon long planted tank with lots of hiding places so they will feel safe. They are both very hardy eaters and that makes it really fun to feed them. I try to give them a variety of foods, such as well-fed crickets, mealworms, maggots, and red wigglers. I have noticed that sometimes at night they make these little croaking noises :). My frogs are not full grown yet.
