Alpha Mu Gamma
			Alpha Mu Gamm, the national collegiate foreign language honor society, has more than 300 chapters in both state and private universities and in public and private colleges across the United States.  It offers membership to outstanding students who have completed the second of any higher semester (or third trimester or quarter) of college study of any foreign language, modern or classical.
	The aims of Alpha Mu Gamma are to (1) recognize achievement in foreign language study, (2) nurture an interest in the study of foreign languages, literature, and civilizations, (3) stimulate a desire for linguistic attainment, and (4) foster sympathetic understanding of other peoples through the medium of languages.
		I was inducted into Alpha Mu Gamma in 1990 for excellence in the study of German. A fact that I am proud of to this day.  Ich habe Deutsch sprechen und studieren gern.  Ich will Deutschland fahren.
