What is Princess Mononoke?

Princess Mononoke is basically the most popular and highest-grossing movie Japan has released. Japan has released many animes in its time, but by far, Princess Mononoke is the most popular among fans.
Princess Mononoke is Hayao Miyazaki's masterpiece, who was always resected for his work in other films.


In "ancient times" man and beast lived together in harmony. As time went on, they battled together, while giant animal gods ruled.
A young warrior is infected with a deadly curse by a huge demon boar. Fighting to save his village, he has now a short time to live. Now banished from his village, Ashitaka must travel to the west on his elk Yahcuul, where the boar came from, to save himself and "to see with eyes unclouded by hate".
Along the way, he meets a young girl who is the princess of all beasts. Raised by wolves, San believes she is a wolf, and lives with Moro, the wolf god. Ashitaka also runs into a huge fortress known as Iron Town, since they melt and sell iron that is in the sand.
Now caught in a war between human and animal, Ashitaka must help both sides for what he believes in.

Princess Mononoke is a staggering, wonderful film on man and beast, and what happens when they collide. The animation, color, sound, and music is all of the best quality around.
