By Train Heuston station is about ten minutes walk away, across the River Liffey and serves the North West, South West and West. Connolly station is about a half hour walk away and serves the East Coast. A shuttle bus links Connolly and Heuston stations. For information on trains visit the Iarnród Éireann website. By Bus The following buses serve the area of the museum: 25 / 25A / 26 / 68 / 69 / 51 / 66N and 69X. Further information is available on the Bus Átha Cliath website. A Museum Link bus links the National Museum locations at Collins Barracks, Kildare Street and Merrion Street. Information on national bus services can be found on the Bus Éireann website. By Ferry Visitors from Britain can get ferries from Holyhead to Dublin Port or Dun Laoghaire. A train service known as the Dublin Area Rapid Transit (DART) connects Dun Laoghaire Port wih Dublin city centre. Visitors should disembark at Connolly or Tara Street stations. The journey time is less than 30 minutes, with a cost of £1.15. Visitors might wish to come on the Cairnryan-Larne or Pembroke-Rosslare links.
