Career Highlights:

-Stopped 49 of 50 shots in 1-0, quadrupale overtime loss in game 6 of the 1994 Eastern Confrence Quarter Finals against Buffalo.
-Registered three shutouts in a series in five games, that tied goaltenders D. Kerr (Rangers) 1940, F. McCool (Toronto) 1945, T. Bondra (Toronto) 1950, Felix Potvin (Toronto) 1994.  Only Martin registered three shutouts in only five games.
-Posted three shutouts including back to back shutouts in the Eastern Confrence Quarter Finals Vs Boston in 1995.
-One of only ten goalies to post 16 playoff victories in one year.
-Member of the 1995 Stanley Cup Championship team.
-Became the second goalie in NHL history to score a goal in post-season play, 4/27/97 vs. Montreal.
-Marty has started in 43 straight playoff games for the Devils. 
-Lifetime 2.19 GAA (goals against average) is best in NHL history.
-Selected as starting goaltender for the North American team in the 1999 NHL All-Stars game.  Played as second period goaltender for the North American team in the 2000 NHL All-Star game.

-Became the first goalie to score a game winning goal during the 1999-00 regular season.
