If you've come to this page because most of the links on the Photo Album and Briefcase pages do not appear to work, then you've come to the right place. Since this site gets its content from Yahoo's domain, it has to follow Yahoo's rules. That means you have to follow Yahoo's rules to view the adult content. The Basic Rules: 1) You must have a Yahoo account. Right about now you're probably saying to yourself, "I thought this was supposed to be free?" Well, it is, sort of. Free is a relative term. Other than time, it won't cost you anything to sign up for a free Yahoo Mail account. And why do you have to do that if you haven't already? Keep reading and see. 2) You must be at least 18 years old. This is the really important part. In order to view adult content on Yahoo, you have to have a date of birth that makes your current age at least 18. This is because areas of Yahoo that contain adult content are required to have age restrictions on them. This rule is in place to prevent children from viewing content that may not be suitable for them. 3) You must sign-in to Yahoo's services. This should be a no-brainer, but the only way Yahoo can verify your age once you've got an account is for you to sign-in. Once you're signed-in, assuming you're at least 18 years old, you should be able to access any sections of Yahoo - including Photo Albums and Briefcases - that have age restrictions due to the presence of adult content. If you're still having trouble... there are several possible reasons why you can't access most of the links if you're adhering to the basic rules. It could be a problem with your ISP or your antivirus/firewall software or hardware. It could also be Yahoo screwing around with their servers and sites. If it's either of those problems, I can't help you. However, more likely than not, the problem is that your browser isn't communicating very well with Yahoo. The result is usually something like this: You click a link, a new browser window opens, and the content in the window is some kind of error message instead of albums or pictures. The message usually says that either the owner hasn't posted any public albums or it simply says you're blocked. Here's the screwy thing about it - this kind of message is usually only encountered when a person is either underage or not signed-in to Yahoo. The typical reason for this is that the new browser window that opened doesn't recognize that you've already signed-in to the main browser window. The easiest way to check if this is the case is to see if you're profile name (screen name) is shown at the top of the window with the error message. If you don't see your screen name and the window is asking you to sign-in, then that's the problem. What to do: The first thing to try when this happens is to hit the "Refresh" button in the window with the error message. Sometimes this jogs Yahoo's memory, allowing access to the photo album. If that doesn't work, you'll have to view the site the hard way: Sign-in to Yahoo in the window with the error message and type in the address of the link. After signing-in, click your mouse in the address bar of the error window, then put your cursor over the link in the table of your main window, to see the full address, and type it in or copy and paste it. This should alleviate the problem and allow you to look at some awesome pics. Now, you might be asking yourself why I don't just change the links so they'll open in the main window. The reason is because of data transfer limits. Opening a new window cuts down on unnecessary loads and reloads of my website. This prevents the site from exceeding its data transfer limit (4.2 MB/hr). If the limit is exceeded, the entire site gets shut down anywhere from 24 hours or until the beginning of the next month!!!! Needless to say, I don't want that to happen, and neither should you if you like this site. Another reason is that it keeps the table of links accessible so visitors can click through the links more quickly, though keeping the site up-and-running is my main concern. If all else fails... Send me an e-mail and I'll try to help. |
