It's Miller Time! |
Oct. 28-Red and White Game- No official statistics. Archie played 28 of a possible 30 minutes. He scored 11 points-9 from behind the arc and 2 from inside it. He dished the ball well all game and had several assists. He even had a block. Archie helped lead his Red team to a 79-65 victory. The Red team was also composed of Anthony Grundy, Scooter Sherrill, Kenny Inge, Michael Bell, and Cornelius Williams. N.C. State's first exhibition will be against Interhoop on November 4th. |
News and Notes about N.C. State's most exciting player. |
Nov. 04-Interhoop (Exhibition)-Archie played half the game-20 of 40 possible minutes and proved to be a strong presence for the Pack. He launched 4 field goals, all threes, and connected on two of them. He also nailed 2 of 2 free throws down the stretch to help ice the 86-82 victory for the Pack, bringing his point total to 8. He also had 1 assist, but 2 turnovers. He committed 2 personal fouls. Most impressive was when Herb Sendek put Miller in with 5 minutes to go, the Pack clinging to a 2 point lead. Within a matter of seconds, the lead was 10. Coincidence? I think not. Archie once again proves why he is such an asset to this NC State team. Next game is Nov. 11 versus CA All-Stars. |

Nov. 11-California All-Stars- State had no problem, beating the All-Stars 120-87. Arch scored 9 points (3-4 FG; 3-3 3FG), had 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal. The Pack's first regular season game will be Nov. 17 against Penn. |
Nov.17-Pennsylvania- The Pack struggled, but held on to beat Penn 77-64. Maybe the struggle was due to Archie Miller's lack of playing time. He only got 15 minutes. Come on Herb! In those minutes, Arch went 1-1 from three point land and hit 3 of 5 free throws for a total of six points. He also added two assists, a rebound, and a steal. |
Nov. 18-Charlotte- NC State fell in the championship of the CoSida Classic to Charlotte. Archie was perfect from the field, going 3 of 3, 2 of 2 from the three point arc, for a point total of 8. Other stats are incomplete. |
Nov. 22-Fresno State- The Wolfpack dropped their second in a row with a 82-63 pounding by Fresno State. I had to search far and wide for stats, but I finally found them. Archie scored 8 on 3-5 shooting (2-2 3FG), and added a rebound and 2 assists in his 19 minutes. Hopefully the Pack will rebound in their game November 25th against Charleston Southern. |
Nov. 25-Charleston Southern- Along with the injury of Damien Wilkins came an increase in Archie's playing time. I guess the injury was a blessing in disguise. Arch started and played 26 minutes as the Pack stomped Charleston Southern 89-51. Arch scored 16 points on 6 of 8 shooting (4 of 6 from beyond the arc) and also tallied 2 assists, 2 steals, and a rebound. Maybe this will open Herb's eyes? |
Nov. 29-Penn State- State put the ACC over the top as they beat Penn State 84-76 in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Miller scored 8 points on 3 of 6 shooting, including going 2 of 4 for three. Dec. 5-UNC Greensboro- NC State survived a scare tonight as they squeaked by UNCG thanks to an Anthony Grundy buzzer beater. The final was 77-76. As for Archie-9 points(3-7 FG; 3-6 3FG), 4 assists, 2 steals, 35 minutes. NC State will face a challenging Georgia Bulldog team on Dec. 9. |
Dec. 9-Georgia- The Wolfpack picked up their third loss as they fell 68-63 at Georgia. Archie did not have one of his better nights, as he went 1-5 from long range for 3 total points. He did, however, add 4 assists. And as far as I'm concerned, he played his heart out and that's the only thing that really matters. I know nothing else because, as before, TotalCast does not like to provide stats for lost games. |
Dec. 16-New Hampshire- The Pack came back strong, slapping UNH with a 103-59 beating. Archie had an awesome night, especially first half, and ended with 19 points on 5-6 shooting (4-5 3FG). He was a perfect 5-5 from the free throw line and had 5 assists and 2 rebounds in his 31 minutes of play. My only regret-Damien Wilkins edged him out with 20 points! Kidding. Anyway, the Pack will face UNC Asheville on Dec. 22. At right~Archie drains one of his 4 threes, en route to 19 points in NCSU's 103-59 win over New Hampshire. |
