JEFFREY NEUFELD

He has been hailed as one of Canada's most brilliant young musicians performing as soloist, chamber musician and with orchestras. Jeffrey David Ross Neufeld has performed across Canada and will be performing with Denise Djokic, cello on his Debut Atlantic tour. An invitation to the Baine de Musique Festival in France four years ago afforded him the opportunity to perform and study under Jean-Paul Sevilla. Most recently he was awarded a grant from the Johann Strauss Foundation to study at the Internationale Sommerakademie Mozarteum in Austria. While there, he was featured as a soloist in the WienarSaal, in addition to being selected to play the world premier of French composer Dede Latroupe's work, "Šimmobile.Ša tire d'aileŠ", for flute, harp, guitar and piano.

Mr. Neufeld is currently preparing to record the complete solo and duo piano works of the late composer Ronald Gibson. He was also involved in researching and producing a documentary on Mr. Gibson's life filmed last summer.

Jeffrey Neufeld currently lives in Manitoba and holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance degree from the University of Alberta, where he studied under Marek Jablonski.
