LIFE IS A CIRCLE

Life seems to be a circle, spinning round and round
Never know which way you're going or even where you're bound
Confusion rules your conscious mind and causes you to doubt
Everything you thought you knew, you wonder now just what

It means to anyone at all - If someone really cares
Or does life matter anyway, despite the constant fears?
You cannot feed or dress yourself - You're limited each day
To things you do not want to do, places you don't want to stay

How do you find your way amidst the ever changing times
When you cannot figure out a reason or a rhyme
To everything that's happening to you, day in and out
It seems that life's a circle, which you no longer know about

But, somehow, those who love you still come by to take your hand
They long to help you realize, relate and understand ---
Although the world around you has completely turned around
The answer lies in Jesus Christ - His Word is never bound

Your spirit is alive and well, despite the cruelties
Imposed upon your mortal frame and the indignities ---
So, watch with eyes wide open till you find God's way and will
For new life begins when old life ends---
And thus completes life's circle.........

MOMMA's GIFT

When I touched you, I relived the times
That my mother lived - And she was mine
You're different people - this is true
Yet I couldn't help sensing her in you....

You see, my mother left a void which men will never fill
Although I try to move ahead - I miss her even still -
Just because I act the part in keeping up a front
Sometimes it's hard, cuz memories open all the doors I've shut

But I know you understand me - Deep within your heart -
For your spirit is in tune with God and never will depart
You sense His Presence flow through me - as I sense His in you
And do not criticize or blame me for substituting you

For I know well, inside my soul, that Mom has long since gone
Into the Land of Eternal Day - She sings a brand new song -
And somehow, I suspect that she has spoken unto you
Cuz we are joined in one accord - We have ONE heart, not TWO....

Yes, in God's world, we're all akin - No strangers are found there
We think the thoughts of Higher Realms - Our secrets are laid bare -
I'm grafted in, along with you, and Mom is waiting there
To usher in her brand new friend - the one with whom I've shared

Your searching, grief, and confusing days
Whether near or far - For you, I've prayed
So, I thank you for your gifts to me
For in touching you? I could also see
And sense the Presence of our Lord
My mother's sweetness, still adored --
You wear a different face, 'tis true
But we're connected - Me and you -

Yes, I will grieve when you depart
To join the loved ones in your heart
I will remain with your daughter, here
To help her cope and withstand fear
For we know best of anyone ---
That you, and Mom, are with God's Son
How grateful I am for your gifts to me ----
Your daughter......And your memory......

BRENDA RACE (Frances Wilmart's daughter) and me, DOROTHY WOMACK

BEHIND ALL THE LAUGHTER

Behind all the laughter, the smiles and the grins
Lies pain undescriptive - Seems never to end -
She goes forth each day with her love for the world
Never showing how deeply her sorrows unfurled

She notices often the sadness behind
Those whom she visits, who are losing their minds
She brings joy and laughter to that nursing home
By being God's instrument - His blood, to atone -

For each one residing in their own hell on earth
She brings to them beauty - tells them of their worth -
And value to Jesus - Always, and ever to be -
His truest witness of Eternity ---

They laugh and feel better just knowing she's there
For those thought forgotten - They are grateful she cares
She doesn't reveal much of the pain she goes through
She's centered in others - Doing all she can do

To make their lives better, richer and free ---
Beyond all their suffering - Beyond what you see -
Behind all the laughter - a heart's beating still
With unanswered questions - Yet trusting God's will

She looks towards tomorrow and all it may bring
The goodness and promises of Jesus, the King
She longs for God's Heaven and what will come after
This is the person --- Behind all the laughter......

PALE BLUE EYES

As I look into your pale blue eyes
I see the pain you try hard to disguise ---
Yet to no avail - Because to me
While others are blind - I clearly see

All this decision has taken from you
The many dreams you sought to come true
Still, you go on with twinkling smile
Hiding your tears, just a little while ---

But don't forget there are some who know
How deep the impact - How swift the blow
We take note of your steps, you see
Your mother, your husband, your sons and me ---

So never feel alone, although this road intrudes
Upon every dream you had - and heartfelt pain ensues
For God is mindful of each day - The way in which you came
And one day, His riches grant - To you, who bears His Name

Oft times you couldn't see the way you went
So God looked down and His Angels, He sent
To shed light upon your darkened path
And assure you of God's Love - never His wrath

Standing at these crossroads, soon you find
What mattered once now remains behind ---
What matters most lies just ahead
For Jesus is waiting - Along with your dad

To usher your mother back into her Homeland
Angels and old friends are among those who stand
Ready to greet her as she comes through the Gate
For the best things come to those who wait ----

Once touched by the Master, you come forth changed
Only what's done for Christ will remain .....
Hold tight to His hand, which some folk can't see
This is the way that you find yourself free ------

Free from the cares that this world puts on you
Free from the choices imposed upon you ---
Free from derision, self-doubt and great grief
As you see through the Saviour, you obtain sweet relief

And while you must linger along the way
God has promised, by your side, He will stay
You'll hear Him in whispers - See Him in the skies
He'll become the twinkle in your pale blue eyes

One day, all this will become only a dream
Even though the ordeal's been forever, it seems
God has promised a NEW DAY is coming for you
I want to be there, when HIS PRESENCE breaks through.....

A WIRE

It is said that God always brings good out of bad --
I know this is true - For you're the dearest friend I've ever had
Our relationship grew by great leaps and bounds
We bonded in silence - So close - It astounds
Me today - To realize how much has come forth
Within and without - Affecting my own worth

Ashes and brokenness were all I had left
My self-esteem negligible - Shaken at best -
Not only returned, but soared far beyond
Any and all dreams I'd ever begun ----
Never would I have expected to find my best friend
Through the lines of computers, at the other end

To learn that what I've believed as true
Is a living reality - Since knowing you ----
When God's Love dwells between people (two)
As it obviously does with me and with you ---
There are no barriers, gender or race
No denominations, shame or disgrace

Yes now I know, truly, forever to be ----
Our lives and hearts connected, through all Eternity --
God's plan started with our mothers - this is true
But He continued HIS Love, joining me to you
And though we go forward, without them in our lives
They live inside our hearts and forever will survive ---

As we move onward in our commitment to Him
We bring along our lifemates - to sink or to swim -
Together, we'll face whatever the day brings
The four of us - Envisioning better things -
Not lingering in the past, but looking ahead
Bonded forever, in HIS Name and Stead ---

Never expecting undeniable change ---
Lives completely altered and rearranged --
God's Wisdom surpasses all we could desire
He met the needs of our hearts ---
Through using a WIRE.............

I WISH FOR YOU

I wish for you, the sunshine
When the rain is falling on your head ---
I wish for you great blessings
Rather than the hurts you find instead

I wish for you, abundance
In all that touches you ----
I wish for you, true beauty
Found in everything you do

And in all which you have given
To create a better 'ME'.....
I wish for you - Your heart's desires -
That God would grant them ALL - You see

Your influence has mattered
Which is all we have to give ----
I wish for you, sparkling rainbows
Which prove that He still lives ---

Should life bring any heartaches
Or pain knock on your door ---
Remember, Christ is watching
That's what HE came here for

And in years to come, find peace
Within your soul and mind ---
I wish for you, God's treasures
His Eternity, to find -----

I wish for you, contentment
Truth and prosperity ---
These things I wish, and pray for you
For all you've given me......

THE WALK

Although you must walk this road on your own
Please try to remember that you're never alone ---
For I, too, walked this pathway of sorrow and woe
Leaving my mother at Heaven - then turning to go

Back from whence I came - Without her beside
Me for companionship, to comfort and guide ---
I felt the winds howling - The darkness so near -
But I kept walking onward, despite all my fears

I knew I was leaving Mom to rest in God's arms
She'd be safe from illness, diseases and harm ---
No longer would pain control all of her days
She'd have a new body - At Jesus, she'd gaze

While I just kept walking this road I'd once come
Back to my own life - My own race to run -
I'd delivered my mother to the Gates of the Lord
And now I must continue to press onward ---

This I found almost impossible to do ---
I know, with God's help, it will be easier for you
But giving our mothers into God's loving care
Is difficult at best - and painful to bear

For they dwell with God now - No longer do we
Touch them and hold them, hear them and see
Their animated bodies dancing round in our heads
We've lost all those images - Replaced with instead

Holes in our hearts - Vacancies in our lives
There is none to comfort - No one to surmise
How devastating losses like these are to those
Who wanted to keep what they surely must lose

So, we let our spirits direct us instead
We followed God's will, not ours, as He said:
'For in losing, you find and in giving, you gain'
We gave God our treasures: our mothers, our names

And He gave us mercy and grace for the task
We know that He'll do whatever we ask
When we do so, believing, that He's on our side
His Spirit takes over - In our hearts, He resides

We walk on a path which is beaten by years
Its' turns often swift - Igniting our fears
But God walked this path too - When He once was here
So it's our consolation - This pathway of tears -

For someday we'll walk on this road once again
Except, someone else will be guiding our hands ---
And we'll be received by Jesus above ---
For those on this path walk a trail of pure love ........

LAUGHTER, AFTER...

You think you'll never smile again
Nor ever find a faithful friend --
Whose heart will heal your brokenness
Whose light will dispel your own darkness

But I see further than you do ---
I've prepared someone who needs you too
Your serious side will mirror out
Reflecting what her life's about ---

Her playful side will inspire you
Together, I will cause you two
To join as one - in that which matters
And teach the world ---
That there is LAUGHTER ----

HIS TREASURES ABOUND

God gave me a treasure, out of His great storehouse
Though I was unaware - Timid and meek as a mouse -
He saw fit, in His eyes, to grant me someone
Whose heart was tremendous - whose spirit was strong....

She came in a moment of time, unsurpassed
Bringing me love and memories to last ---
Joy, hope and laughter - she brought in her arms
Teaching me daily, how to keep safe from harm ---

Her journey was arduous, but she was up to the task
She followed the Spirit in all that He asked ---
God sent her from Heaven, by way of New York
To help me along - My own journey, embark

I stand yet amazed, at God's mercies to me
He opened my eyes and caused me to see ---
That life can go on - when a reason is found
And wherever God leads -----
His treasures abound.............

KEEP IT CLOSE

I used to feel the pain within your heart
Now I am the one who puts it there ---
In Spirit, born, although apart
Unite again - somehow - somewhere

Remembrances of much brighter days
Are ours to ever share
When Momma walked amongst us
And whispered in our ear.....

A new day dawns, and things are changed
Our 'insides' have been rearranged
We cannot build up what's been torn down
The happiness resident within the clown

Is gone now - only silence reigns -
One hears the rattle of heavy chains
What beauty lies in memory
Keep it close ---
For God's gift ---
Is our TREASURE, you see......

MY LAST PLEA

We all know I'm leaving - So let's cut to the chase
I'm glad to be rid of this body and place!!
Do not spend your time in grieving for me
For I went on living despite losses, you see

When my loved ones departed - I went right along
Picked up the pieces - and sang a new song
For God Himself loved me and gave me the way
To strengthen in stature, like HIM, every day ---

I knew life was precious and I wasted no time
Focused on others' needs instead of on mine ---
Often I tried to conquer my pain
By giving to others - So, thus, did I gain

I've lived out my lifetime the best way I knew
God's Love always led me and confidence grew
In knowing my steps were each ordered of God
And He would be with me, wherever I trod ---

So I'll ask you, once only, to grant my last plea
Don't sit by and STARE - For, with Jesus, I'll be
I will not be lonely, in my bed, on that day
For God and His Angels will be there ----
To BEAR ME AWAY ........

FINAL FLIGHT

You know what? Sit down right here - I've something GREAT to say ----
Tonight, as I lay on my bed -God's Angels came my way!!
Surrounded by their Heavenly Glow, I was taken by surprise ----
Until they fastened to my form and I looked into their eyes

They spoke to me in whispers - Told me my time was finally here
God Himself had summoned them to bring ME forth - To cheer
My weary heart and fragile soul - To set ME free for good!!
The Angels came from God Himself - Just like I KNEW THEY WOULD!!

I didn't hesitate that night - No regrets were found in me ---
For I'm with Christ, walk in His Love - My Home is in ETERNITY !!
I left those things behind me that no longer could hold me fast ---
I've taken flight - There is NO NIGHT –

I've returned to MY HOME at last!!!

THE BRUSH OF THE BREEZE

Even as the wind blows through the trees
Gently blowing things around in the wake of its breeze
So I will come to you, in the still of the day
When you feel that others have forsaken and all gone away

I will bring comfort to your hurting heart
And offer you ways to make a new start
For I know how much my leaving has cost you
In terms of your own life, and I will be true

To keep all my promises made unto you
There'll not be another to ever replace you
Although I am dwelling in a place far away
I am ever near you - Close to you, I stay

So you can hold your head up proudly
Never fear for what tomorrow may bring
For I am still shining, as are the others
And we are ALL here - with Christ, the King

There's never a moment when you're out of sight
Just look up at the stars that shine in the night
And you'll recognize God's hand in the Heavens
So tenderly sent ----
His confirmation to you, my daughter, of where
I have went .........

And MY confirmation, of course, ever be
My touch on your cheek in the brush of the breeze
I'll come to you on a moonbeam of liquid starlight
And THEN, my love, EVERYTHING WILL BE ALRIGHT.....

MORNING SONG

When sun breaks forth on beaten path
Think of those things which ever last
Remember all those days of yore ---
And what my life itself stood for....

Try not to dwell or linger on
Things and incidents long gone ---
But look instead to Higher Ground
Where songs of hope and love abound

Think not that I have gone away
Close by your side, I'll ever stay ---
I will not leave you comfortless
Look around - You'll see the best

Is standing right in front of you
From the moment that you said 'I Do' ---
And all the others added to
The rich, full life God has for you.

Be not forlorn because I've gone
Ahead of you - But yet, stand strong
In faith, believing all God said ---
We live beyond the mortal dead ---

Keep me inside your heart - Alive -
Hold tight the wealth that dwells inside
For hands extend themselves to you
Is not just THEIRS, but MINE, so true

To bring you healing, hope and joy ---
That nothing can take, rob, steal or destroy
Remember to whom you truly belong ----
You are GOD's child - His MORNING SONG –

And when the evening sun sets low
Think of me - of those we know -
Let ne'er your heart - oft troubled, be -
Just know I'm well, I'm strong ---
I'm free.......

BEDTIME STORY

Once upon a time, I dwelt upon this earth
My commitment was to Jesus - I knew of His Great Worth
I followed in His Footsteps and raised my little ones
To always do the right thing and glorify the Son

Now, mortal bonds are broken - Yet things of Spirit last
My children are still earthbound and clinging to the past
However, they know better than to grieve too long for me
Because they know I'm living - and will, forever, be -
So, speak again and tell them - their hope, in Glory, lies
I have not ever left them - I'm always by their side

As God Himself spoke often in Scriptures, straight to me
He commented directly on that which was yet to be ---
So are my children blessed with this special gift from Him
All they must do is LISTEN and YIELD themselves to Him
For God Himself will lead them, in their lives on earth, you see
Because I sought the Father - And He has promised me!!

CHRISTMAS MELODY

My, how different Christmas seems
Without your presence here ---
I still long to feel your hands
And touch your face, so dear ---

But, time has changed the way it was
And now, it's yet to be ---
So, I go on - With God's new song
It's His CHRISTMAS MELODY ---

The sounds of joy ring in my heart
Despite my loneliness ---
I realize you're with the King
And that He really does know best ---

My loss of you meant gain to Him
The One who reigns Supreme ---
I just wanted to speak out once more
Remind you of how much you mean

To me - Although you've found your rest
And now you wait for me ----
Until we join on Heaven's Shore
To sing God's CHRISTMAS MELODY.......

SHE STANDS IN THE DOORWAY

She stands in the doorway - most every night
Watching her daughter in the pale moonlight --
She sees in her heart and knows how she grieves
She longs to bring comfort and precious relief ---

Her daughter seems lost in a world full of pain
Swirling in memories that she can't regain ---
Her mother stands quietly, waiting to find
A second - a moment - when she can entwine

Her spirit around the child she loves so --
For she dwells in Heaven, while earth is below
A long time awaits till they join up again
So she stands in the doorway, looking to when

Her daughter realizes that she's always there
She knows of her restlessness, confusion and care --
She yearns for her: peace, prosperity, health
She knows these, her daughter, must find for herself ---

Having no physical form creates a problem
But, deep within, she shares a strong bond
With her daughter, the one she wants most to know
"I'm with you, NOW - and all your tomorrows" ---

"Don't give in to negativity ---
I'm close by your side - FOREVER, I'll be
Just shut your eyes, focus and pray ---
For I AM WITH YOU!!!!
Standing in the doorway......."

WALK FORTH

The Lord is there beside you
To comfort - guide - and direct
He's with you in this battle
Your needs - He'll not forget

While loved ones gather 'round you
With love, support and care
Remember, God is WITH you
Look IN your heart - He's there!!

Take nothing for the journey
Except faith in God above
Rest quietly on His Promises
Drink deeply of His Love ---

And when the morning rises
You'll find your strength renewed
For those that stood, prayer vigilant
Touched My heart, for your greatest good

And peace - Although not knowing
What, as yet, was meant to be
Their hearts asked Me to touch your own
For time, and Eternity ----

So, look to see a turning
Of the tides against yourself ---
And walk forth in MY anointing ---
In strong faith - great love -
And good health ...............

REMEMBER ME

Remember me when roses bloom and Spring returns again ---
For I am ever present in your midst - In the dawn and in the wind ---
You mustn't think I've gone away for good - Instead remember me
The way I was in better days - The way it used to be ----

Remember me as I am now - Alive, at peace, and free ---
There is no place for sorrows past - Is just a lost memory ----
For life derives its' purest joy in living day to day ---
Follow what I've taught you - And REMEMBER ME, this way .....

MOMMA's TEARS

You have your Momma's tears
That's very plain to see
I see them falling down your face
A special sensitivity

Known only to those close enough
To share revelation truth ---
She had a certain way of thought
Which reflects itself through you

Her spirit briefly captive - Freed
By the power of God's Love
Yours also, bound somewhat by time
Longing for the world above ---

For now, we look through darkened panes
Out the windows of our lives
Sensing, soon, God's servant will descend
And our sorrows, override

Connected yet to lost loves passed
Yet living, throughout the years
I recognize your mother's touch
You have your Momma's tears .....

DO YOU TRULY KNOW??

Do you truly know how much you mean
To me, of lowly humbled soul --
My gratefulness has no boundaries
By God's love, I am controlled --

Do you truly know how much you give
To one, who felt so bereft for so long
You've taught me to see God's beauty
I was blinded, and I was so very wrong

About most everything - In perspective, borne
Out of misery, experience and solitude
I'd never learned the mysteries
Of realizing that if I attempted - I could

Reach my goals, make new dreams
Anticipate a greater reality --
Where life is not an endurance test
Rather a sweet taste of Eternity ---

God brought you alongside my narrow path
He knew just what I needed to convey
Illumination - Education - Determination
Enlarging my borders - Lighting my way

Do you truly know how much your life
Has influenced mine in every way??
That nothing, seemingly small to you
Passes without impact in some way
To my life, my heart, my mind and soul
Do you truly, TRULY know???

OUT FROM THE MISTS

Out from the mists of Heaven, they came
Bearing great gifts in Jesus' Name ---
Softly appearing before me, and then
Kneeling to reach forth - Extending their hands

One to touch my head - The other, touching hers
I recognized them both as being our mothers ---
Their hands, unmistakeable -
Their faith, unshakeable -
God had a reason - a purpose - a cure
Sending out healing beams of Light to assure

Morning would dawn and life would go on
Endings would signal a new start had begun ---
Whatever is certain, will certain ever be
Nothing can separate in Eternity ---
Nor upon earth, when we're joined to the Lord
Each of us assured of our true value to God ---

Just as quickly appearing - So quick, they were gone
But always, forever, in our hearts, living on ----
Entering the chambers where God touches men
Out from the mists - Came our mothers again ---
