Women's Aid Service, Inc. offers many volunteer services including crisis intervention (crisis line workers, shelter supervisors, on-call advocates), child care providers, lawn/landscape assistance, and maintenance.Volunteer Information
Crisis intervention volunteers must complete a 40 hour training (30 hours of session training, 10 hours of supervised shifts). Child care volunteers must complete a four hour training. Both crisis intervention and child care volunteers must commit to at least six months of service, five shifts each month (two advocate shifts, one crisis line shift and one shelter supervisor shift - at least one of these shifts must be on a weekend).
