Frequently Asked Questions

• Is this an AA workshop?
The workshop is presented by AA women for AA women.

• May I bring a friend who is not in AA?
No. All workshops and speaker meetings are to be considered "closed" meetings to allow women to share comfortably.

• What activities are planned?
A confirmation letter and complete schedule will be mailed to everyone who registers. Activities will focus on spiritual renewal and a spiritual way of life.

• Why must we pay to attend?
Workshops like this one cost money to present. For that reason, only those who have paid and are wearing name tags will be admitted to sessions.

• Why do some other workshops cost less to register?
Most other workshop registration fees do not cover lodging or meals. When hotel rooms and meals are taken into account, most workshops cost much more.

• Can I register at the door?
No. We require accurate meal and bed counts a month ahead of the workshop, all registrations must be made in advance.

• Is there anything else I should know?
Because the campgrounds is in a remote area, most cell phones will not work.

• What should I wear?
This workshop is completely casual. There is a good bit of walking on uneven ground and trails. The cabins are winterized but not air conditioned. Depending on the weather, bring appropriate clothing and comfortable walking shoes. Each cabin sleeps 20 in two bedrooms with 5 bunk beds in each. They also have bathrooms and a living room area with kitchenette. The dining hall is air conditioned. Women must bring their own towels, toiletries and bedding (sleeping bags or sheets, pillows and blankets).

• What should I bring?
You may bring snacks and drinks to share. Any contributions to the white elephant raffle are gratefully accepted.

• What about smoking?
The facility is non-smoking.
