SEVEN WONDERS OF THE ANCIENT WORLD

Some of you probably wonder why there is a line saying "Welcome to the home of Wonders" when you first come to my homepage.  There is no secret about it.  I must admit that I am in love with the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World even though six of them have already disappeared.  The only Ancient Wonder that remains is the Pyramid in Egypt (there are more than one pyramid in Egypt).

When I was seven years old, one of my older sisters brought home a book entitled "The Secrets of the Pyramids".  This book not only talks about the Pyramids, but it also mentions the other Ancient Wonders.  I read the book from cover to cover just to be amazed by how they were built, and how magnificient they were to the people in the old age.  How or why these Wonders belong to this list is subjective.  You could create your own list of the Wonders if you wanted to.

I created this page to dedicate my love to these Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.  I hope you will find them as beautiful and interesting as I do.  I only have photos and a short description of each Wonder.  If you want a complete description of each, please visit http://ce.eng.usf.edu/pharos/wonders , http://www.123world.com/wonders/index.html or http://www.unmuseum.mus.pa.us/wonders.htm

Here is a list of the Wonders created by the Greeks.

3.  The Statue of Zeus at Olympia
4.  The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus
