Known as the Bytch in ECW, the girl infamous for her clothing or lack thereof, has finally made her way to WWE. As an ECW slut she was rarely restrained famously coming to the ring with no underwear. Known simply as a giggler Dawn Marie has now taken her assets to World Wrestling Entertainment, and plans to take her own hardcore performances to a new and captivating level.

As a biology major at high school, Dawn Marie became a poster model, and it was through that work that she was introduced to the world of professional wrestling. Jonathon Gold went to her house for autographed posters and within days she was working an ECW event having graduated through the independent leagues on circuits like PCW, AWC and MCW.

During her time with the extreme promotion she certainly made an impact, accompanying real-life beau Simon Diamond and Lance Storm to ringside amongst others. Playing the airhead role she once famously forgot to wear panties to the ring at the Hardcore Heaven PPV in 1999. She then proceeded to put them on giggling in front of the crowds.

Dawn Marie was an ECW valet for four years until the company's eventual demise when she began working the independent circuit with Simon Diamond. Then in March 2002, she was signed to a WWE developmental contract.

She competed at house shows against fellow debuting diva Kim Nielsen, and at one show, won the right to a WWE contract. She then debuted on television on May 30, 2002, when she entered as Vince McMahon's paralegal. Due to the absence of McMahon's Personal Assistant Stacy Keibler, Dawn Marie Ronaldi quickly took advantage and scored points with McMahon showing plenty of her assets and interest in the WWE owner. The following week on Smackdown Stacy who told her that business was only to be done with Mr. McMahon through her confronted Dawn. The seeds for a beautiful feud had been planted.

The rivalry continued with the two desperately competing for Vince’s attention as he assumed total control of WWE from Ric Flair. Dawn was a competitor in the first Divas Undressed contest, and highlighted her wares in an attempt to embarrass both Torrie and Stacy on an edition of Smackdown.

The feud reached a head when Dawn Marie went into Stephanie's office but Stephanie wasn't there. Stacy told Dawn that Stephanie has been looking for her all night. Dawn wanted to give Stephanie the papers but Stacy wanted to take them for Stephanie. Stacy stated that Vince had called her and told her what the papers were all about, even going as far as to state that Mr McMahon had mentioned Dawn himself. Dawn seemed to like that and Stacy talked about where Vince would be and then she took the papers and promised to give them to Stephanie. After Dawn left, Stacy slid the papers under the couch and then she did her nails as Smackdown cut to a commercial break.

After the break, Stephanie showed up and asked Stacy if Dawn dropped off the documents. Stacy said that she told Dawn where Stephanie was and where to find her and Stephanie said that she didn't get the documents. Stacy told Stephanie that Dawn said something about meeting Vince at the Marriott. Stephanie apologised to Stacy for what happened last week and she said that she has been keeping things running around here and she appreciates it. Stephanie left leaving Stacy alone when out came Eric Bischoff. Eric asked Stacy if she got them and Stacy handed him the papers and the two looked at them together with huge smiles on their faces!

Stacy had jumped to the Raw brand leaving Stephanie to berate poor Dawn Marie for allowing the papers to get into the hands of Bischoff.

Effectively that was the end of Dawn’s role as WWE’s supposed paralegal. However that did not end her appearances backstage. On the October 03 2002 edition of Smackdown, Dawn was introduced to Al Wilson by Torrie ahead of a bikini contest between the two. Dawn could not resist teasing Torrie’s father, unveiling her bikini and asking what he thought of her curves. Al responded that he liked them very much. What was to follow, none of us could be prepared for.

So began one of the worst story lines in WWE history. The bikini contest that night ended in victory for Torrie Wilson. Dawn was apparently humiliated and viciously assaulted Torrie after the match, tossing her from the ring.

The following week the two were placed in a lingerie match. Dawn again approached Al Wilson before the match, asking him what he thought of her lingerie and sneakily placing a kiss on his cheek. The lingerie battle again ended in a victory for Torrie. This time Dawn offered a post match handshake but Torrie gave her a Ric Flair style slick back of the hair and walked away. Backstage Dawn offered Al the latest Divas Undressed magazine and told him he could return it in her hotel room.

The following week Torrie warned Al that Dawn was a "predator". He thanked her for her advice and gave her some flowers. Torrie and Dawn again competed in mixed tag action alongside Rikishi and Matt Hardy respectively. However it was after the match that the real action took place. Torrie found more flowers that she believed were off her father. However she was informed by Jan the Make-up lady that they were in-fact for Dawn. When she entered the women’s locker room to confront Dawn she found clothes leading all the way to the shower. Inside she found Dawn bathing with Al Wilson.

Torrie and Dawn were now scheduled for a one-on-one showdown at the No Mercy PPV. It was at this venue that Al was questioned backstage by Funaki. His response was simple "I did not have sexual relations with that woman". Torrie won the match with a swinging neckbreaker.

Dawn explained to Torrie "Listen, this is hard for me to say. I just want you to know that I think your the better woman, and you proved that on Sunday at No Mercy. OK?" Torrie replied "OK" and started to walk off but Dawn stopped her and continued "I also wanted to tell you that I apologise for my behaviour to you and your family, because I really think that things may have gone a little too far. But I want you to realise that I really do care for your father. I want you to know that I realise there is a huge age difference between us... and that this has probably really hurt you. So the next time I see Al, I mean your father, I'm going to break things off." Torrie told Dawn "Great", and walked off, but Dawn Marie had a Cheshire cat grin all over her face!

Later backstage Dawn confronted Al and explained that she didn't want to come between him and his daughter and that she felt it was just best to say goodbye. She kissed him on the cheek and began walking away, but turned to tell him "Oh, and one more thing, out of the very few men that I've been with, you were the most passionate man... I've ever experienced." Al grabbed Dawn and played tonsil hockey for several long seconds before releasing the WWE Diva! Dawn then gave Al a warm and passionate hug.

It was Halloween frolics on the next edition of WWE Smackdown. Dawn and Torrie went at it in a "Trick or Treat Match" – Dawn dressed as a police officer. The two rolled around to the entertainment of the masses and again Torrie triumphed. No matter what mind games she played, Dawn could not get that elusive win over Torrie.

The following week however the mind games reached new levels. Al Wilson informed Torrie that he had to do something "for himself". With that he called Dawn to the ring and proposed.

Torrie refused a wedding invitation and Al chased after her. Torrie informed him that he was being used and that Dawn was nothing more than a "manipulative bitch". Torrie refused the invitation informing her father that there was "no fool like an old fool." Dawn of course seized the opportunity, berating Torrie for not being happy for her father.

The farcical merry-go-round continued with the two divas battling in a Pilgrim Fashion Show before things took a really bizarre turn! Dawn invited Torrie to her hotel room stating that Al wasn’t the only Wilson she was interested in. If she would do this one thing for her, she would forget the wedding. Torrie showed up at the hotel room that night. She was about to leave when Dawn commented that she "doesn’t really love her father after all". With that Torrie gave in.

The next week on Smackdown though it became clear that Torrie had been duped. Dawn did not call off the wedding and instead promised to show footage of the hot lesbian action at the Armageddon PPV. It turned out that way as Dawn indeed showed footage but as Al begged cut the tape off shortly after a passionate kiss between the two divas.

With that, the wedding was on. The first Smackdown of the New Year 2003 played host to the "wedding of the year". Dawn promised to get married naked, but Stephanie ruled that out. So she and Al both stripped down to their underwear and were married. From there they stormed off for the honeymoon, and promised to send footage the following week.

Their honeymoon was indeed one to remember. Throughout the night footage was shown of Dawn in various pieces of lingerie teasing Al and desperately asking for more. By the end, EMTs rushed in to deal with Al who suffered a heart attack.

The following week we were informed that Al had indeed passed away. Dawn invited the Smackdown audience to his wake, where she churned out a monologue before Torrie arrived. The two scrapped at the side of Al’s body before Dawn smashed a lamp over Torrie’s head knocking her to the floor. The two were now set for the first ever Stepmother V StepDaughter match at the Royal Rumble PPV.

The match itself was uninspiring and boring. Torrie was the victor and despite a couple of matches on Velocity and another Bra and Panties showdown on Smackdown their feud was effectively over.

From there rumours amounted as to where Dawn would fit in. She had a couple of Velocity outings losing to Nidia but effectively remained off TV for months on end. Rumours of a switch to Raw and an alliance with Lance Storm mounted, as did rumours of an alliance with the FBI. She was declared the co-winner of a bikini contest in which Sable gave her and Nidia the dupe over Torrie and she even pinned Torrie in a quick match on Smackdown – only to lose again the following week. Other than being brought in to further other feuds and persistent House Show appearances Dawn was without a role for WWE, buried by her previous angle. That was until she finally returned to Smackdown from New Orleans in early September 2003 to compete in a "Bourbon Bikini Contest". Unsurprisingly, Torrie Wilson once again ran out the victor.

However the re-appearance did make something of a landmark for Dawn. The post-match attack from Shaniqua on the divas effectively turned Dawn into a baby face. The following week she was placed into a match with the monstrous amazon that was duly interrupted by Torrie and Nidia wielding chairs – amazingly Dawn and Torrie had found a common bond.

Dawn Marie has finally made the big-time in her now lengthy wrestling career. From poster girl to ECW bytch, to WWE diva, Dawn Marie has certainly started many fires wherever she has gone. Now it remains to be seen just how hardcore this extreme diva is willing to get.
