| Finally, it's open! The dream section of my web site. As I mentioned in the 'About Me' page I have a variety of intrests, one of which is dream interpretation. I am a fascinated reader of Carl Jung, and I believe in the Collective Consciousness. As such, I firmly believe that dreams are the doorway to much more. While I am by no means an 'expert', I am pretty knowledgable when it comes to dream interpretation and dream symbolism. So in this forum, I would like to invite you to submit your dreams for interpretation. If you send me your dreams via email, I will then post them, and my interpretation on this section of my site. If you would like to have a private interpretation, just say so in your email, and I will email you a response, rather than posting it here. Sometimes, I might also decipher my own dreams here. Also, when submitting your dreams, please do not worry about being offensive. No censorship here. Below and on the following pages are some 'sample' interpretations I have already done for people. | Dream Number One “In my dream, I was pointing my right index finger at my wife and telling her she needs to do something; get her act together or something else. Then she cut off the top segment of my index finger and told me not to boss her around. She then tossed me back the tip of my index finger and stomped off. There was pain, but it wasn’t an “Oh-my gosh, the top of my finger just got sliced off” pain, but it still hurt and I was disappointed.” Interpretation: The most important symbol in this dream is the index finger. Sometimes in dreams, this finger can be literally trying to ‘point’ something out to you. In this dream, however, the finger itself is the focus. The first digit represents authority, judgment, or even accusation. The right hand typically stands for dominance and control. With this in mind, we can clearly see the wife literally cut off the man’s authority, when he tried to control and direct her. Her callous treatment of both the finger and the man indicates he feels she has no respect for his leadership, and this in turn leads to the feelings of hurt and disappointment. |
| Dream Number Two “I am running from a giant apple. I know it is gaining on me and finally I have to turn around and bite into the apple. I have to eat it before it can run me over.” Interpretation: In these predominantly Christian times, an apple often represents the forbidden fruit; a secret knowledge you may feel you are not supposed to have access to, or any temptation. Since the apple is chasing you, you obviously fear the knowledge or temptation. Whatever this secret is, you are literally ‘taking it in’ by consuming it. You are feeling pressured to digest some unsavory knowledge or internalize a dark secret before you are destroyed by it. |
