Back Story Naava was a country girl, living happily with her Father on their farm/ranch in Iverna. She loves nature and loved the land itself, as her father raised her to. She was very close to him, since she is an only child and her mother died during childbirth. She is very strong and athletic, tomboyish, and has a good sense of humor. Still, she has never been away from the farm, and is naïve. She and her father here rumblings about an approaching army, and they worry, but have little recourse. On a trip into town, Naava encounters soldiers attacking a seemingly weak old man. She jumps to his defense, and they take off back towards the farm together. A troop of soldiers is only just behind them (though not actually chasing them, per say). Another set of troops is approaching from the south, as they are planning to rendezvous in the town to the east of the farm. Thus, as Naava approaches, she sees her home has been burned in the wake of the first wave of soldiers. Frantically searching for her father, Naava probably would have been killed or captured, due to her frantic state, if not for Orion, the old man. He calms her and convinces her father may still be alive. Caught with troops in front of them and troops advancing behind them, they flee to the coast. |
