Oriana has been raised to believe she is a goddess, and that her, her parents and the rest of the ‘gods’ have a duty to rule over their loyal worshipers. She is a truly beautiful person, in body and spirit. Oriana is horrified to learn that they are not really gods, but powerful telepaths ruling over people of less than average intelligence. When Oriana discovers the carefully orchestrated breeding which leads to this sharp divide, and how her people have abused their power and exploited the ‘humans’ she revolts and leaves her home.
