Three more days to OBS, shrieks.

LIQI! JOYCE! VON! The Cremecookies blog is revived, go blog in it kay? *gwins*

19 January 2005
Five more days to OBS. Darn. Will probably some back with some semblance of mud-colour and a horde of sandfly bites. Meeps. I'd refuse to go if I could, after all the horror stories. And the peeling people I've seen so far, shudders.

Anyway. Had quite an interesting week, as far as weeks go, and all that. Saw our dear Monsieur and his sister today, who is unnaturally petite for someone with such an overwhelming tall brother. and qianni-and-mila's stories about the fish sticks only made me laugh my head off, yes? Whatever. MY FRENCH TEACHER ROCKS. M'SELLE NG ROCKS. Yay. Way, way better than some teacher whom i shall not name, but cannot even follow instructions and muddle all of us up cherie professeur de secondaire f2g'04>

Anyways. Amazing Race is on in like - half an hour. OH I HOPE JONATHAN AND VICTORIA GET ELIMINATED. actually its just jonathan, but he's simply such an annoying twit! yes. anyway. au revoir. will blog again when i feel like it. or when something interesting comes along.

P.S. Livvy, Enjolras rocks.

WHOA. Speak of the devil. I said "Will blog when something interesting comes up" and it did. Assembly today was interesting in a very warped way because I actually could rest in peace. The basic gist of today's assembly was "We prefects are such poor things who are compassionate and lovely so we don't like to book people but due to your overwhelming desire to break school rules we really have to," *coughhackCOUGH*

And further details went like, "We feel that you cannot show compassion to other people because you go around whacking people and calling them pig which is not exactly what we think is sweet and kind so we shall have more lousy campaigns to sweetify the school population, drive them up the wall and waste their pen ink," and also "We feel you do not cheer loudly enough so we now have to have a campaign on it So that all of you can just go and sere a doctor if you get a sore throat and we are evil so we will not hold responsibility," and also "We feel that you fall ill easily so we shall be horrible crabby people and make you change out and increase your inconvenience," etc.

Ugh. I find this whole talk condescending, cold and compassionless. (ALLITERATION!) and basically it's all just excuses to book. I don't BELIEVE for a moment that these prefects don't love their job. I'm sure they do. I mean, if it really is such a tiring, sad job, WHY NOT RESIGN? WHY NOT QUIT? Sheesh. If you really don't like booking, resign! Why stay in an organisation which drives you up the wall and into the crevices?

*shakes head disdainfully*

"Dying is an art, like everything else. I do it exceptionally well," ~Sylvia Plath

Hello everyone. Am about to make it through my second week of school alive, congratulations to myself. Whatever. The poor little sec ones are going to be submitting their application forms tomorrow! *Good luck to them* Anyway, shall not be evil. Was just listening to some lovely music from the Polar Express soundtrack, whee. Believe by Josh Groban is such a beautiful song. *dances around in slight insanity* There's Assembly tomorrow. WHY??? We had some alternate-week assembly arangement last year, didn't we? Ah evil people. I don't generally enjoy sitting in complete silence (yeah, right) and gazing in completely rapt attention (er?) at the speaker...Yes. Shall stop rambling. I sound demented (when do I NOT sound demented?) (like, some time in the next 78 years would be nice.)

Bad poem alert. It doesn't even have a title. Not like any that I write do.

She
Returns to the mother earth
Permanent home of oak wood
Shrouded by thin lace veil
Preserving her delicate beauty

He
Scatters bloodred petals
Cool spring, raining tears
God in Heaven weeps for her
Fingers trace carved words
"For a girl who passed so young,"

She
From above watches him
Warm July, summer's new love
She's all but forgotten, soul struggles
Memories face, time ticks
Soon she's just another photograph

He
Gold wedding band glints
Autumn's chill descends, fallen leaves
Sedate walk down the aisle
Blushing bride, vision of beauty
Scattered petals, soaring songs

but do you still remember her?

Yes. Am delightfully happy. Have been very good has updated my fanfiction - finally. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2162189/4/. REVIEW, you people! ((:

Bought the Maria Callas cd this morning while I hopped over to HMV - it's lovely! I love Habenera from Carmen (Bizet) and In Questa Reggia from Turandot (Puccini)! Whee. She has such a beautiful soprano. Too bad she dies quite some time ago (which is only natural) but never mind. And there's Jewel Song from Faust by Gounod in it too (: Beams. Am currently listening to it on the com, and it's lovely. Track 8. *smiles*

I HATE HOUSE PRACTICE.
*sniffs disdainfully*

Ah wells. Liqi told me to blog. So here I am. Liqi cherie, your tag hardly counts lah. Anyway, Mary is greatly delighted. Even after seat-reshuffling, Liqi and I are still together, oh the darlings, and we're sitting with Fel Huang. Nice little 209 convention at the back too - Wennie, Susanta and Alexis. Haha. Anyway, spent recess with bunch of twoniners, this totally strange recess where we were basically talking about *extremely bizzare things* even for people like us, grins evilly. Shall not even blog about what the gist of teh conversation was. Sigh.

Joyce's going to lend me Les Choirstes! Good Joyce! (: Anyway, I've been wanthing to watch it for eons, so yeah. and she's got Amelie for five dollars. Ahwells. Some HMV sale, have to check it out soon...so I can buy this stash of Frenchie films (alliteration) and all. *beams sunnily* Anyway. Whatever.

Was looking at brilliant Phantom of the Opera icons at here and here! nicey nicey lovely pretty gorgeous pictures! *grins gleefully and swoons* Yes. Okay. Shall stop squealing. Have to go now, au revoir!

Ten Things I Learnt From My First Day in Sec Three

TEN 209-ers are highly emotional people who hug each other during recess even after they have only just hugged each other in the morning.
NINE 209-ers have an absurd absent sense of occasion and decorum when it comes to clapping.
EIGHT The Administration spares no thought for our sanity when they force us to listen to talks repeatedly in the hall.
SEVEN The Sec Ones this year look terribly furtive.
SIX I love sitting with Liqi and Wennie.
FIVE The school is exceptionally stingy and does not understand the true meaning of subsidies.
FOUR The school is unusually good at dodging questions, as all institutions for the oppression of people are good at.
THREE The PITs of this year are particularly annoying and I feel like thwacking every one of them well. *glares violently*
TWO ?? ONE ?? Argh. But you get the general idea, I'm sure you do. Haha. Au revoir et bonne chance, citoyennes.

Hi everyone. This is a messaqge for LIQI, JOYCE AND THE PILLAR PEOPLE. For old times' sake, we are meeting at the USUAL PILLAR, aka SEC ONE MEETING PLACE once you arrive on the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL to relieve old memories. Thank you. Love you people lots.

31 December 2004
Happy New Year in advance, and don't foreget to spare a nice thought for all the unfortunate and disaster-stricken people and places.

Meet The Fockers is such a totally lame film.
There is the worst sense of typical crap-film-humour in it.
But it was fun.
I'll miss Lianne and Von.

Au revoir.
And here's to a nice 2005.

29 December 2004
Oohlala. I'm in threeohEIGHT next year. With darling Liqi and Wennie. Haha. Thank GOODNESS.

And thank goodness we pulled off the Tribune One-day camp, I was totally worried that it would spring back and whack us hard in the faces or something equally evil like that. And here are the acknowledgements! Thanks to Suat Ying, for being an ENORMOUS GINORMOUS help and such a sweetie! Wanjie and Yanmin for desigining the lovely sweater and the delicious French chocolates - they were marvellous. Liyana, for not spoiling National Tresure for me. Everyone else, for just being thee and being so obliging. Thank you all so much! (:

Yes, not ABOUT the camp. It was rather interesting because we actually mamaged to finish the important things AHEAD of time, and we basically spent the rest of the time partially slacking and desiging the Tribune board. (Why not?) And the background of out board has gone back to its original drab GREEN, and its this shade of green that's been there since FOREVER, rolls eyes. I likes the newspaper backing. At least it looked DIFFERENT, yes? after all, all the other CCAs use construction paper...and I don't see what's the deal with the cca board. Yes. I am beginning to fade into incoherence.

Basically, the camp was OKAY.

Bye.

26 December 2004
Hi there again. Hope you've had a nice Christmas *beams* Actually, I had a pretty, er, interesting Christmas. *raises eyebrows* Anyway. It went sort of like, awaken from deep slumber at 9 am, hop out of bed, yelp, 'It's Christmas!" and dash off to church. Haha. I love the church choir. Hearing them sing on Christmas makes me kind of want to join again. KIND OF. But I have to admit, it was nice to see them all again. As in, all of them, the whole choir all over again...

In the afternoon I was delighted enough to watch LOTR Return of the King Extended. It's really quite interesting, all the additional scenes and stuff. And it was SADISTIC. The way they killed Saruman was so...totally bloody and un-chic. Like Saruman is supposed to be, well, the most classy of all the Istari...isn't he? Yes. Anyway, making him fall and land on a stake was not necessary.

The added parts where Aragorn went to summon the ghosts was cool. VERY. Everything was just so glowy. Perhaps that wasn't exactly how it was meant to be, but it worked anyway, and when all the skulls rolled out and tumbled all over was plain wicked. And they shortened the "what say you" thing, which is good, because I always thought Aragorn said "What say you?" far too many times.

Oh and there's this prettyprettypretty shot of Faramir looking very sleek and, er, well-groomed in the Houses of Healing. *grins at Von and WT* and there's this sweet little conversation between Faramir and Eowyn, which was quite a nice touch. And the Houses of Healing are pretty with shrubs and bushes too. Haha.

Then at night, my parents literally dragged me to the Night Safari. Like, nice, thanks a lot, I had so much fun even though the average age of the gushing tourists are like 40 years old. Nice. *sarcasm FULLY intended, merci* And obviously everything was terribly overpriced and the food there was practically nonexistent and the only ones actually buying any food there were the ignorant tourists who had no idea that food elsewhere was at least half the price. And obviously onbody could really see a thing cos it was really dark despite the presence of a full moon, dots, and the little children were all squealing in barely-concealed excitement. What excitement, I really felt like shaking the kids. Ah well.

So that sums up the Very Odd Chritmas of Mary. By the Way, WT, Unfortunate Events opens here on 3rd March '05.

Here's a Merry Christmas Eve to one and all! Hope everyone gets the presents they want, the tickets to France, the love and care from family and friends, and happy sunny Christmases tomorrow! [considering the distinct lack of a lovely white Christmas here]

Yes, here's a new layout. I was really getting tired of the old black and white, and recided to add a splash of red into it. So there you have it. And considering I won't have much time for layouting after school reopens...therefore, decided to spend a lovely Saturday afternoon designing.

Really appreciate the cards and the stuff you people have sent. Here's a big thank you to my dear Musketeers Jas and Cybil, the lovely 209ers (in register order)Nat, Von, Joyce, Liqi and Wenting, the sweet senior Yan Min, an old friend Yu Hui and everyone else who I may have forgotten [sorry if I do]...OH AND Zi Shan for her lovely e-card too! Merry Christmas once again.

Tralala. Au revoir!
