Part 5
" Where are we going?" Chris asked from the backseat of the car. They had drove for nearly one hour and the older members of the group still didn't know where they were going. Lance and Justin had taken control of the car.
" I don't think they're gonna answer." Joey whispered to Chris.
" You know, I think it's kinda weird. They're the babies of the group and we let them tell us what to do. We definitely have a relationship problem in the group." Chris whispered back. Joey nodded in agreement.
" I think Justin's ego is way to big." The Italian whispered again.
" I heard that Fatone. I just don't know exactly where we're going that's why I'm not telling you okay. Don't pick on my ego." Justin said with the hint of a smile in his voice.
15 minutes later they finally reached their destination. They were no longer in the city. The last road they had taken was almost deserted. Of course they had seen a few houses and met two or three car but nothing else.
Justin stopped and glanced at the person beside him. Lance looked nervously at their surrounding. He had imagined the place huge but in fact there was only one building that looked ready to fall. The four of them climbed off the car.
" JC's in there?" Chris asked, his voice sounding like a little child.
" I think so." Lance said and swallowed the lump he felt in his throat. Suddenly he was very scared for his friend, his love.
" Who are you?"
They all turned around to see the owner of the voice. In front of them stood a tall, brown haired man, dressed in white. Lance eyed him suspiciously, a weird feeling hitting him full force.
" Erm…" Justin began, clearing his throat " We want to see one of our friend. He said he was coming here and we really need to talk to him." The man nodded.
" Usually I don't allow my sons to talk with non-believers but since he's new, I'll make an exception. Josh will be right here soon." The man walked away and if eyes could kill, he would be dead by now. Lance had been glaring at him with a menacing look. A look none of his friends had ever seen.
" Sons? Non-believers? What the heck is going on? Who's this Dr Spock wannabe? Why JC shouldn't be allowed to talk with us?" Chris asked in one breath and looked at his friends for an explanation. What he was in the green's eyes of his friend told him it was bad. He had never seen so much pain and sadness in those eyes. He had never seen so much anger in his younger friend.
" He…I…oh damn here he comes…" The confused blond cried at the sight of his love walking toward him.
" Oh love, you've changed your mind. And you brought the rest of the guys with you. I'm so proud…" But Lance interrupted him.
" No Josh. We're not staying. You're coming back with us. You can't stay here. We came here because it's not sane for you to stay. If you need help, we'll find you someone who can help you." He said looking hopefully at the man in front of him. The answer he got wasn't the one he was looking for. JC moved closer and gently kissed the one he loved. He cupped the soft face between his hands and deepened the kiss. Moments later he broke the kiss, breathless, and stared at the handsome blond in front of him. Lance was still in awe from the kiss when he opened his eyes and stared in the blue of JC's eyes. At the moment he would have done anything just to be with JC again.
" Stay with me Lance. We could be so happy. I want you with me forever. You know you want to."
Lance tried to say no but couldn't bring his lips to form the words. The more he stared into JC's eyes, the less he could remember what he wanted to say.
Justin had heard and seen everything. He hadn't planned to jump in but he was Lance loosing his strength. He was JC, his brother, was trying to do. He wouldn't let him. He took a step forward and tugged at Lance's arm.
" Come on Lance. We're leaving."
" Stay with me Lance. Give a chance to our love." JC pleaded and Lance almost gave in.
" Joe, Chris, please bring Lance back to the car NOW!" Justin said to his friends who had stood speechless the whole time. They grabbed the young blond and forced him to the car. Then Justin turned back to his old friend.
" JC, you're like a brother for me, but right now you disgust me. You use his love for you. You know he would do anything for you. He'd go through hell for you. You should protect him not drag him down with you. You know perfectly well that he would never believe the shit you've tried to put in his head. But for you he'd do anything."
" I never expect you to understand Justin. Serge had told me you wouldn't. But you shouldn't stop Lance. If he wants to be happy let him be. You have no right to control him." Justin snorted and shook his head in disbelief.
" Well when you'll be in control of yourself, we'll talk again." The curly man said as he walked back to the car, not believing he was leaving his friend behind him.
In the car, Lance was cursing himself. If it hadn't been for Justin, he would have stay. Not because he believed JC. He had been hypnotised by the blue eyes of the man. And now he was glad that Justin had jumped in.
" I almost lost it. I'm stupid…I'm stupid…" Lance mumbled from his seat. Justin climbed in the driver seat and glared at Lance.
" Don't do something like that again Lance. Or I swear I'll kick your butt."
" Thanks Justin."
JC stayed outside until the car was only a little point at the horizon. When he couldn't see it anymore he walked back inside. He bowed his head when he came face to face with Serge.
" I let you talk with them but you said your friend would stay. From what I see he's not here."
" I'm sorry sir. I was sure he had seen the light. But Justin didn't let him. Next time, he'll understand what he's missing." JC said not looking up to the man because he wasn't allowed to.
" There won't be a next time. You won't see your friends anymore. I feel negative vibes coming from you and it can only be explained by the visit of your friends." Serge said sternly.
" But Lance is…"
" Stop it! If he's gonna be a problem, we'll have to do something about it. I won't let your negativity ruin our hard work. If you're not sure about it and prefer to live with pain and rejection go ahead. We're not forcing you to stay."
" I'm staying sir. I'm sorry for doubting your words. It wasn't my intention."
" Fine. Now go back to your work. You pissed me off." And with that Serge stormed out of the place.
JC went back to his place in the room. He felt bad. He had pissed Serge off and it wasn't good. Earlier he had seen what had happened when someone else had done the same thing. The last thing he wanted was the anger of his guide, his new father. He concentrated on his task, willing the memories of Lance's lips away. If Lance didn't want to be with him, he'd had to forget him because Serge had said so. And Serge was always right.
