Finally, not all our activities are women-only! The Social Committee plans co-ed and family activities several times a year. This past club year, the committee threw a 'True Millennium Party' at Hope Valley Farms Clubhouse, where WWC members, spouses, and friends enjoyed an evening of fun, food, and New Year'?s games. May 5th the club met at the ballpark to cheer on the Durham Bulls for 'Cinco de Mayo.' And last summer, the WWC Board organized 'Sundae in the Middle of the Week,' an ice cream social for members and their families. Seasonal parties are always in the works.
Speaking of families, the WWC Easter Egg Hunt entertains kids and adults alike. This is usually held on Palm Sunday at the Woodcroft Swim and Tennis Club. Kids search for eggs along the tennis courts and soccer fields, and enjoy activities such as face painting, blowing bubbles, sidewalk art, games, prizes, and refreshments. If you have never witnessed hordes of children sweeping the fields clean in well under three minutes, this is a must-see! Sometimes the Easter Bunny him(her)self makes a delightful appearance! |
