Bootdisk.com If you are search for those hard to find boot files for old operating systems this is the place for them. Also Bootdisk.com features articles on tweaks for speed, performance, and hardware upkeep.
Borland Enterprises Here is the compiler I use for C++, which is much better than any MS one (you actually get help files). The great thing about Borland is th you can find free compilers for many languages if you look hard enough.
DSL Reports Here is an excellent site to check the speed of your broadband connections.
Programmer's Heaven What else is there to say. Has a lot of links to articles on all programming languages.
ProgramFiles.com This portal links to several shareware and freeware programs and other goodies e.g. desktop themes. While browsing there you can submit sum of your own works.
PC Pitstop This is a useful free site for testing your PC and getting information on how to improve its performance. The best thing is that the results are related to the actual potential of your PC.
The Screen Savers This is the site of the TV show, which is a great place for computer and geeky information.
Stroustrup C++ This is the home site of Stroustrup, the creator of C++.
Webopedia This is an online encyclopedia on practically everything associated with computers.
