Prayer Before a Crucifix

L ook down upon me, good an gentle Jesus while before The face I humble kneel and, with burning soul, pray and beseech Thee to fix deep in my heart lively sentiments of faith, hope, and charity; true contrition for my sins, and a firm purpose of amendment. While I contemplate, with great love and tender pity, Thy five wound pondering over me and calling to mind the words with David, Thy prophet, said to Thee my Jesus.
"They have pierced my hands and feet, they have numbered all my bones."

A s the name says this is to be prayed while present a crucifix. The intentions of his holiness can be included if an Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be are said with this. This is also said in thanksgiving after Communion.
