Hello!  I am  the Woodland School Intervention Specialist.  I will be working with students in third, fourth, and fifth grades who need extra support in the areas of Language Arts.  With this support, I hope to assist these students in achieving the Joliet Public School District 86 goal of  all students reading at or above grade level by third grade and for those above third grade by Junior High!

I KNOW ALL CHILDREN CAN LEARN!!!

The Reading Curriculum being used in the Language Arts Intervention Program is "Rigby Literacy" by Rigby.  We are also using other Rigby Products such as Bookweb, Sails, Rigby PM and others.  Check out the "for Kids", "for Parents" and the entire curriculum at the Rigby website:

The Math Curriculum being used in the Mathmatics Intervention Program is "Growing With Mathematics" by the Mimosa Company.  It incorporates learning the different concepts using problem solving, manipulatives, and skill/drill.  The students seem to be making great progress and having lots of fun at the same time!
