Woodlark 1 - innovative music project and the official home of f-step

D.F.T.

D.F.T. is a DJ/journalist/producer of great note, most significantly for his work rate, particularly in pursuit of the cutting edge of modern dance music. He has DJ'd around the UK and abroad and is responsible for uncovering new musical talent and ideas.

He has also produced a number of outstanding tunes, from the fantastic chilled out sounds of Glasshouses to the curious and minimal Truth is Beauty, which are both inspiring and highly original (note the use of whale sounds as an integral part of Glasshouses). He is constantly in search of novel beat experiences, and has recently begun experiments with F-Step, Woodlark 1's trademark rhythm trip.

In 2000, D.F.T. released his self-titled 'D.F.T. EP', which can be ordered through our shop and features his early material. He, however, has advised those who might be interested to wait for more work - he's currently busy with his sampler after a long break abroad.
