Woodlark 1 - innovative music project and the official home of f-step

Gunter the Bishop

Gunter is to dance music what napalm is to a bail of hay. For years, this guitarist, bassist, singer and songwriter for various bands had been an enemy of the dance genre and its “unimaginative rapping” and “ridiculous bleeps and noises”. Then one day, he heard of F-step, and something changed. He was captivated by the concept of a progressive and nearly incomprehensible sound, and his first effort, “Massacre the Church Mice”, reflects that revelation. Whilst most would struggle to class it as F-step (DJ Cane commented that it sounds more like “animals being tunefully tortured by the sound of their own screaming”), it stands righteously on its own as a lo-fidelity cross between accelerated breakbeat and circus music.

More work should be coming soon from this junglist debutante. He’s currently tied up with a number of live shows for musical projects of his own, but when he decides to give F-step some more time, the Woodlark 1 crew will be all ears.
