++ About WOE ++

++ Name
Well I was thinking about adding an lotr fan site to the ranks of my many obsession sites. I just couldn't figure out a name. I settled for The Woods of the Elves because for some reason everyone says I look, talk, and act like an elf and because elves are awesome! Plus, I love trees and forests, especially Lothlorien. So there you have it about the name.

++ Mission
The Mission of this site is to increase awareness of elves, their forests homes, and the history of Middle Earth. You will not see me posting a lot of lotr screenshots because there's no point [I actually at this point have 314 MB of screenshots on my computer]. Most people who will ever hear of this site already have seen the movies, own the movies, and/or have at least one of them memorized. So if they have the movies, then why post up a bunch of pictures of the movies that use up my limited bandwidth. Rather, I could be giving you stuff you've never seen before, like in-depth histories, new fanart, links to other sites, new wallapapers, and new avatars. However, if you ever want an screenshot for your website, e-mail me and I will give you up to 5 high rez pictures for free. If I ever do post a lot of images up, be forwarned that they will be small and not as good resolution.

++ Miscellaneous
I will update at least once a week and most likely twice a day. If I ever don't update for more than a week, then it means I am gone on vacation to Rivendell or Mirkwood and can't get to a computer [which would drive me crazy].
