++ Nenya ++

Nenya was one of the three elven rings of power that was presented to Lady Galadriel the White by Sauron in the Third Age. It was forged of 2 elements: mithril, the metal that the dwarves covet more than silver or gold, and adamant, a very hard diamond-like jewel. Together, these wrought a very comfortable and light, yet strong and powerful ring. It was the Ring of Water and the range of its power included Lothlorien and many of the waters of Middle Earth. In fact, one possible reason why the Mirror of Galadriel could see into the past, present, future, and possible future might have been because of Galadriel’s power over the water. This ring was also the source of Galadriel’s terrifying beauty and power when she was tempted by the ring. After the One Ring was destroyed in the fires of Mount Doom, it lost its dominion and power. The very fact that Middle Earth would now fade to only part of its former beauty is what urged the elves to leave Middle Earth. When Galadriel departed for Valinor, she bore the ring with her.
