Matrix Reloaded comes out in theatres all around the world today. Hugo Weaving is currently in France promoting it at the 2003 cannes Film Festival. Good luck on the movie Hugo!!

Along with the release dates of the TTT DVD's [see below for details], The LOTR Official Movie Site just gave out the preorder date for the theatrical DVD. Drum roll: The preorder date for the TTT Theatrical DVD is May 9th. Srop on by the site for more details.

Today, the dates for the releases of the TTT theatrical and extended DVD's were confirmed! The theatrical verion debuts August 26 and the extended edition debuts November 18. Also, in other bad news, it appears Peter Jackson is going to shoot King Kong directly after Lord of the Rings and is not going to film the Hobbit yet. This means that all of us could look forward to maybe seeing Hobbit in 2008 but probably not.

Director Peter Jackson states that there will be an extra 43 minutes of footage in The Two Towers DVD. He says that most of the footage will be parts with Merry and Pippin in Fangorn that were cut out of the theatrical version. Most of it will be pretty humorous. Apparently the release date for the theatrical version DVD will be given very soon.

Actor Lawrence Makoare, the actor who plays Lurtz and the witch king in lotr states that they are reshooting the whole witch king sequence next month because his armor is too similar to Sauron's. He also states that he believes director Peter Jackson will film the Hobbit after all. Apparently some of the special effects experts at Weta are just dying to design a dragon.
