To Survive
There's a rose garden in my soul
Full of beauty, full of woe
and within a rose you'd know
there is life

With every gentle zephyr grows
the mystic power of the rose
her gentle petals, her booming strides
to sway and sigh she savors life

Among the weeds she lifts her Cries
To Find her Comfort in the Skies
For if she finds not sunlight
Putrid leaves and broken dreams
petals falling, dreams astray
she will die

Against the strongest storms
the wasted winds of wayward songs
distress the rose to lose her buds
but against the strongest storms
she will survive

For in the storms she finds her life
From dormant memories awakened
she rises up against defeat
and revives caressed
by the dew drops of sorrow
with fortified stem
she stands up to tomorrow

Her color is sweet and inspiring
her scent is attractive
her pose awestriken
her thorns enough to make one bleed
bloody tears and bloody years
bittersweet, she survives
