There's another reason that it takes awhile to set up. There's always problems. This weekend wasn't any different. I got the compressor out to make sure it was ready for Jack. Sure enough, the main valve had rusted closed since we skipped last year and I had to go get a new one and install it.
For those who don't know, this is Jack. He's about 8' in diameter and weighs a few hundred pounds. His eyes light and his mouth moves. There are only 5 in the world, and one is here in Jaffrey. It's an animatronic robot that runs off of compresors, cd's (data and audio), and the kids love him. We've recorded a few different scripts for him over the years. He takes a lot of prep work though. We'll see him here later.
With all of the electricty we use during Halloween and Xmas (PSNH loves us), I had to wire 6 separate circuits around the house outside. Even then I still have little boo-boo's and have to replace outlets. This weekend wasn't any different. Somehow we got just a little bit of water in there and that's all she wrote.
As the sun goes down, the lights come alive. Even though my camera isn't the best, you can still see the orange glow coming from the graveyard
